Martin Amada is a multilingual Mexico based video producer with over 25 years of experience serving an international clientele. He grew up in New Jersey where at 18 he started writing movie scripts that landed him a spot in the screenwriting program at the American Film Institute’s Conservatory. There he learned to direct, shoot, and edit.
After leaving the US to see more of the world, Martin spent 5 years in Provence, France. He worked in tourism and learned to speak several languages.
He spent three winters in Thailand before moving to the Kingdom. His first venture was with a local master chef. Together they founded a cooking school that established an international reputation for excellence. He used an early version of Adobe Premiere to make a series of instructional cooking videos, and was launched back into filmmaking. He is a lifelong tinkerer, and with the help of machinists has built jibs, dollies, and a body mounted steadicam.
For 15 years he was Southeast Asia based, providing production services to an international clientele. He moved to Guadalajara in 2020, and has been living there since, recently creating a production company to provide Mexico based services to foreign film productions who recognize the amazing opportunities presented by the country he now calls home. He still writes, and recently completed an original TV pilot about a group of American school bus drivers.
Martin can show up as a one man ENG crew, and when a client needs more services he puts together the best team he can, wherever he happens to be. He does some acting when given the chance, has been on the stage and on French television, and was in the film “Tomorrow Never Dies.”
When an assignment requires photography he shoots with a Nikon D750, and Carl Zeiss lenses. A proficient user of WordPress and skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite, he has designed numerous websites, including this one.
